Umzolozolo Lodge is a five star venue situated in the Malaria free, Nambiti Private Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal. This reserve is close to Ladysmith and easily accessed when travelling from Johannesburg or Durban.
The wildlife experience at Umzolozolo can be amazing. This species rich Nambiti park offers regular sightings of elephant and buffalo herds, white rhino, cheetah and lion. Numerous species of antelope and other wildlife such as giraffe, zebra and hippo as well as abundant bird species make for a rewarding sojurn into the bushveld.

Umzolozolo Lodge features five luxurious freestanding suites, constructed using local materials and thatch roofs to blend into the environment, with each room having a panoramic outlook over the bush. The air conditioned rooms are spacious and secluded with private viewing decks where guests can relax and observe the wildlife in the valley and on the hills below. The suites have been designed to maximise game viewing from every room with large picture windows looking out onto the valley. In addition to a private bathroom, each suite has an outdoor shower so that even while showering, guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of Nambiti. The suites have TV with satellite channels where one can catch up with a world that seems so very far away!
Umzolozolo has a beautifully appointed Presidential Suite. The extravagant stone bath with lovely views through the large windows makes for the ideal setting to relax, and appreciating the beauty of the environment. The décor and comfort of this magnificent suite adds to the romantic atmosphere, whilst the private deck is complimented by a Jacuzzi for unwinding in lavish style.
Umzolozolo’s Honeymoon Suite is tucked away for complete privacy, this also features a Jacuzzi on the deck which overlooks the valley. We make every effort to create a magical romantic atmosphere for our honeymoon couples and will gladly arrange for a private dinner to be served on your own deck.
For relaxation, the swimming pool is situated high above the valley on the main viewing deck of the Lodge where one may relax, cool off and gaze over the vista below. Lounge chairs, shady umbrellas, a selection of wildlife books, cocktails or simply doze and unwind to the sound of bird song and gently flowing water.
